Twitter is a popular social media platform where users can share their thoughts, opinions, and engage with others. However, there may be instances where you come across sensitive content that may require a few extra steps to view on your iPhone. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the process of viewing sensitive content on Twitter using your iPhone.

Step 1: Launch the Twitter App

To begin, locate the Twitter app on your iPhone’s home screen and tap on it to launch the application.

Step 2: Access the Settings

Once you are inside the Twitter app, tap on your profile icon located in the top-left corner of the screen. This will open a side panel with various options including “Settings and privacy”. Tap on this option to proceed.

Step 3: Navigate to Privacy and Safety Settings

In the “Settings and privacy” menu, scroll down until you find “Privacy and safety” settings. Tap on it to access additional options related to your account’s privacy.

Step 4: Enable Sensitive Content

Inside “Privacy and safety” settings, look for an option labeled “Sensitive content”. By default, this option is set to hide sensitive media from being displayed in your timeline. Tap on this option to change its settings.

  • Note:
  • If you are under 18 years old, enabling sensitive content will require additional confirmation due to age restrictions.

To enable sensitive content:

  1. If you are over 18 years old:
    • Tap on “Display media that may contain sensitive content” to enable the feature.
    • You will be prompted with a confirmation message. Tap on “Enable” to proceed.
  2. If you are under 18 years old:
    • Twitter will require you to add a birth date to your account for age verification. Follow the prompts to complete this step.
    • Once your age is verified, you can return to the “Sensitive content” settings and tap on “Display media that may contain sensitive content” to enable it.

Step 5: Confirm Changes

After enabling sensitive content, you can exit the settings menu by tapping on the “X” icon located in the top-left corner of the screen. Your changes will be automatically saved, and you will now be able to view sensitive content on Twitter using your iPhone.

Note:

If there is still specific content that you find objectionable or inappropriate, Twitter allows users to report such posts for review by their moderation team. This helps ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for all users.
