Zoom is a popular video conferencing app that allows you to connect with others remotely. With the Zoom app installed on your Android phone, you can easily join meetings, host webinars, and collaborate with colleagues or friends. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps of using Zoom on your Android phone.

Step 1: Download and Install Zoom

To get started, you need to download and install the Zoom app from the Google Play Store. Open the Play Store on your Android phone and search for “Zoom Cloud Meetings.”

Tap on the first result and then click on the “Install” button. Once the app is installed, tap on “Open” to launch it.

Step 2: Sign In or Sign Up

If you already have a Zoom account, tap on “Sign In” to log in using your email address and password. If you don’t have an account yet, tap on “Sign Up” to create a new one. Follow the instructions to complete the sign-up process.

Step 3: Join a Meeting

To join a meeting, tap on “Join a Meeting” from the home screen of the Zoom app. Enter the meeting ID provided by the host and your display name. You can also choose whether to turn off your video or audio before joining.

  • If asked for a meeting password: Enter it if provided by the host.
  • If prompted with audio options: Choose whether to join with audio via internet or dial-in.

Step 4: Host a Meeting

If you want to host a meeting instead of joining one, tap on “New Meeting” from the home screen of the Zoom app. Choose whether to start the meeting with video or without video. You can also enable or disable your microphone before starting the meeting.

  • Share the meeting ID: Provide the meeting ID to participants so they can join your meeting.
  • Manage participants: Tap on “Participants” at the bottom of the screen to view and manage participants during the meeting.

Step 5: Customize Meeting Settings

To customize your Zoom settings, tap on the “Settings” tab at the bottom right corner of the home screen. From here, you can configure various options such as video, audio, notifications, and more.

Step 6: Schedule a Meeting

If you want to schedule a future meeting, tap on “Schedule” from the home screen of the Zoom app. Enter details like topic, date, time, and duration of the meeting. You can also add a description and enable options like requiring a password or enabling waiting room.

  • Invite participants: Tap on “Add invitees” to invite participants via email.
  • Add calendar event: Enable this option to automatically add the meeting to your device’s calendar.

Step 7: Share Your Screen

To share your screen during a meeting, tap on “Share Screen” at the bottom center of the screen. You can choose whether to share your entire screen or just a specific app. Tap on “Start Now” to begin sharing.

  • Annotate during screen sharing: Tap on the pencil icon to draw or highlight on your shared screen.
  • Stop sharing: Tap on “Stop Share” at the top of the screen to stop sharing your screen.
