How to Upload Photos From Android Phone to Computer

  2. Select File Transfer Mode: Once connected, swipe down on your phone’s screen and tap on the notification that says “USB charging this device.” Then, select “File Transfer” or “Transfer files” from the options.
  3. Access Your Phone’s Storage: Open the file explorer on your computer and navigate to “This PC” or “My Computer.” You should see your Android device listed under the “Devices and drives” section. Double-click on it to access its storage.
  4. Navigate to Photos Folder: Look for the “DCIM” or “Pictures” folder within your phone’s storage. This is where most of the photos are usually stored.

Method 2: Using Google Photos

  1. Install Google Photos: Download and install the Google Photos app from the Play Store on your Android phone.
  2. Sign in to Your Account: Open the app and sign in with your Google account. If you don’t have one, you can create a new account for free.
  3. Enable Backup & Sync: Once signed in, tap on the three horizontal lines at the top-left corner of the screen to open the menu. From there, go to “Settings” and select “Backup & sync.” Toggle it on to enable automatic backup of your photos to Google Photos.

    Sign in with the same Google account that you used on your Android phone.

  5. Select and Download Photos: In Google Photos, browse through your albums or use the search bar to find specific photos. Once found, click on each photo while holding down the Ctrl key for multiple selections. After selecting all desired photos, click on the three horizontal dots at the top right corner of the screen. From there, choose “Download” to save them on your computer.
