Are you facing issues with certain websites not functioning properly on your Mac? It could be due to blocked cookies.

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your computer to remember your preferences and provide a personalized browsing experience. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of unblocking cookies on your Mac so that you can access all the website features hassle-free.

Step 1: Launch Safari

To unblock cookies on your Mac, you need to open the Safari browser. Locate the Safari icon in your Applications folder or dock and click on it to launch the browser.

Step 2: Access Preferences

Once Safari is open, click on the “Safari” option from the top menu bar, and then select “Preferences” from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut “Command + ,” (comma) to directly open Preferences.

Step 3: Navigate to Privacy Settings

In the Preferences window, click on the “Privacy” tab located at the top of the window. This tab contains various privacy settings for Safari.

Step 4: Customize Cookie Settings

Within the Privacy tab, you will find options to manage website data and cookies. To unblock cookies, click on the “Manage Website Data..” button.

Note:

  • If you wish to unblock cookies for specific websites only, skip to Step 5.
  • If you want to unblock all cookies for every website, proceed directly to Step 6.

Step 5: Unblock Cookies for Specific Websites

A new window will appear listing all the websites that have stored cookies on your Mac. To unblock cookies for specific websites, select the desired website(s) from the list and click on the “Remove” button. This will remove the selected website’s cookies.

Step 6: Unblock All Cookies

If you want to unblock all cookies for every website, click on the “Remove All” button instead of selecting individual websites. This will remove all stored cookies on your Mac.

Step 7: Save Changes

After removing the desired cookies, click on the “Done” button to save your changes and exit the Website Data window.

Step 8: Restart Safari

To ensure that the changes take effect, it is recommended to quit Safari completely and relaunch it. Close all Safari windows and then open Safari again from your Applications folder or dock.

Congratulations! You have successfully unblocked cookies on your Mac.

Now you should be able to access websites without any issues related to blocked cookies. Remember that enabling cookies may allow websites to track your browsing behavior, so exercise caution while allowing them.

We hope this tutorial helped you resolve any cookie-related problems you were facing on your Mac. Enjoy seamless browsing!
