Turning Off Google Pay

If you have decided to stop using Google Pay, follow the step-by-step instructions below:

Step 1: Open Settings

To begin, unlock your Android device and find the Settings app. It is usually represented by a gear icon in your app drawer or can be accessed by swiping down from the top of your screen and tapping on the gear-shaped icon in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Find Google Settings

In the Settings menu, scroll down until you locate the option labeled Google. Tap on it to proceed.

Step 3: Access Google Account Settings

Within the Google Settings, look for an option called Google Account. Tap on it to access your account settings.

Step 4: Go to Payment & Subscriptions

Once you’re in your Google Account settings, scroll down until you find a section labeled Payment & Subscriptions. This is where all your payment-related options are located. Tap on it to continue.

Step 5: Manage Payment Methods

In the Payment & Subscriptions section, you will see a list of all your linked payment methods. This includes credit/debit cards, bank accounts, and any other payment sources associated with your Google account. Look for the payment method that you want to turn off and tap on it.

Step 6: Remove Payment Method

Once you have selected the payment method you wish to disable, a screen will appear with detailed information about that particular payment source. To remove it from your Google account, look for an option such as Remove, Delete, or Turn Off. Tap on this option to proceed.

Step 7: Confirm Removal

A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you want to remove the selected payment method from your Google account. Read through the prompt and ensure that you have selected the correct payment source. If everything looks right, tap on Confirm or similar to finalize the removal process.

Congratulations! You have successfully turned off Google Pay on your Android device. Remember, if you decide to use Google Pay again in the future, follow these steps in reverse order to link a new payment method or reactivate an existing one.

By following this tutorial, you can easily manage your payment methods and keep your Google account up-to-date with your preferences. Now you are ready to explore other payment options or switch to alternative methods if desired.
