Android, Tutorials

In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to transfer photos from Google Photos to the Gallery on your Android device.

Step 1: Open Google Photos

First, open the Google Photos app on your Android device. You can find it in your app drawer or on your home screen.

Step 2: Select Photos

Once you have opened the Google Photos app, browse through your album or search for specific photos that you want to transfer. You can tap and hold a photo to select it. To select multiple photos, simply tap on each photo one by one.

  • To select all the photos at once: Tap and hold any photo, then tap the Select All option at the top of the screen.

Step 3: Tap Share Icon

After selecting the desired photos, tap on the share icon located at the top-right corner of the screen. It looks like an arrow pointing upwards.

Step 4: Choose Save to Device

A list of sharing options will appear. Scroll through the options and select “Save to device”. This option may be located under a sub-menu such as “More”.

  • If you don’t see the “Save to device” option, look for an alternative option like “Save image”, “Download”, or similar wording that implies saving to your device’s Gallery.

Step 5: Choose Location and Save

After selecting “Save to device”, you will be prompted to choose the location where you want to save the photos. You can select an existing album within your Gallery or create a new one. Once you have selected the location, tap “Save” or “OK”.

Step 6: Check Your Gallery

Finally, open your device’s Gallery app and navigate to the chosen location where you saved the photos. You should now see the transferred photos from Google Photos in your Gallery.

  • To organize your transferred photos: Create folders or albums within your Gallery app and move the transferred photos into those folders for better organization.

That’s it! You have successfully transferred photos from Google Photos to the Gallery on your Android device. Now you can easily access and manage your photos without relying solely on Google Photos.
