Simply select the Contacts icon in the Messages app and choose the recipient you want to text. Type your message in the text field at the bottom of the window and hit Enter to send it.

Note:

If you receive a text message on your Android device, you will also see it on your Mac. You can reply directly from your Mac, and the message will be sent from your Android device.
