iPhone, Tutorials

Split screen functionality is a convenient feature that allows you to view and interact with two different apps simultaneously on your iPhone 13. This can be particularly useful when you need to multitask, such as comparing information or taking notes while watching a video. In this tutorial, we’ll explore the steps to split the screen on your iPhone 13.

Step 1: Open the First App

To begin, open the first app that you want to use in split screen mode. This will serve as the primary app in your split screen interface.

Step 2: Activate App Switcher

To activate the app switcher, swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone 13’s screen and pause for a moment until you see the app thumbnails appear.

Note:

If you’re using an iPhone with a home button, double-pressing it will also activate the app switcher.

Step 3: Choose Second App

In the app switcher interface, swipe left or right to browse through recently used apps. Alternatively, you can also use the search bar at the top of the screen to find and select the second app that you want to use in split screen mode.

Step 4: Enter Split Screen Mode

Once you’ve selected the second app, press and hold its thumbnail until a menu appears with various options. From this menu, choose “Split Screen” or “Open in Split View.”

Note:

If you don’t see these options in the menu, it means that the selected app doesn’t support split screen functionality.

Step 5: Adjust Screen Division

After entering split screen mode, you’ll notice that your iPhone 13’s screen is divided into two sections, with the primary app on the top and the secondary app on the bottom. You can adjust the screen division by dragging the divider line up or down to resize each app’s window according to your preference.

Step 6: Interact with Split Screen

Now that you have successfully entered split screen mode, you can interact with both apps simultaneously. For example, you can write an email while referencing a web page or watch a video while taking notes.

Step 7: Exit Split Screen Mode

To exit split screen mode on your iPhone 13, simply drag the divider line all the way up or down until one of the apps disappears from view. Alternatively, you can swipe left or right on the divider line to collapse one app and expand another in full-screen mode.

Split screen functionality on the iPhone 13 is a powerful tool that enhances productivity and multitasking capabilities. By following these simple steps, you can easily split your screen and seamlessly work with two apps at once.
