Have you ever missed an important call or notification because your iPhone was on silent mode? One way to ensure that you never miss a call again is by setting your iPhone to vibrate. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the simple steps to set vibrate on iPhone.

Step 1: Open Settings

To begin, unlock your iPhone and locate the Settings app. It has a grey icon with gears on it. Tap on the Settings app to open it.

Step 2: Access Sounds & Haptics

Once you have opened the Settings app, scroll down until you find the “Sounds & Haptics” option. It is represented by a musical note icon. Tap on it to access the sound settings.

Step 3: Enable Vibrate

In the “Sounds & Haptics” menu, you will see various options related to sounds and vibrations on your iPhone. Look for the “Vibrate” section and tap on it.

To enable vibrate, toggle the switch next to “Vibrate on Ring” and “Vibrate on Silent” to turn them green. This indicates that vibrate mode is enabled for both ring and silent modes.

Note:

  • If the switch is already green, that means vibrate mode is already enabled.
  • If you only want your iPhone to vibrate in silent mode but not when receiving calls or notifications, toggle only “Vibrate on Silent”.
  • If you only want your iPhone to vibrate when receiving calls or notifications but not in silent mode, toggle only “Vibrate on Ring”.

Step 4: Adjust Vibration Intensity

In the “Sounds & Haptics” menu, you will also find an option called “Vibration”. Tap on it to access the different vibration patterns available on your iPhone.

You can choose from various pre-set vibration patterns such as “Heartbeat”, “Rapid”, or “Symphony”. Tap on each pattern to feel a preview of how it vibrates. Select the pattern that suits your preference.

Note:

  • If none of the pre-set patterns are to your liking, you can create a custom vibration pattern by tapping on “Create New Vibration”.
  • Creating a custom vibration pattern allows you to tap and hold on the screen to record your own unique vibration pattern.

Step 5: Test Vibrate Mode

Now that you have enabled vibrate mode and adjusted the vibration intensity, it’s time to test if it’s working correctly. Ask a friend or family member to call or text you while your iPhone is not in silent mode. You should feel a vibration when receiving calls or notifications.

If your iPhone does not vibrate, double-check that vibrate mode is enabled and that the volume is not turned all the way down. You can adjust the volume using the buttons on the side of your iPhone.

Note:

If your iPhone still does not vibrate after following these steps, there may be an issue with the hardware. In such cases, we recommend contacting Apple Support for further assistance.

By following these easy steps, you can ensure that you never miss an important call or notification again. Now go ahead and set vibrate mode on your iPhone!
