Sending a Picture via iMessage

If you want to send a picture to someone who also has an iPhone, the easiest way is through iMessage. Here’s how:

  2. Select a conversation: Choose the conversation thread of the person you want to send the picture to.
  3. Tap on the camera icon: In the lower-left corner of the screen, you’ll find a camera icon. Tap on it.
  4. Select a photo: You will now see all your photos.

Browse through them and tap on the one you want to send.

  5. Add optional text: If you want to add some context or a message along with the picture, simply type it in the text field above the keyboard.
  6. Tap Send: Finally, tap on the blue send button (looks like an upward arrow) next to the text field. Your picture will be sent instantly!

Sending a Picture via Email

If you prefer sending pictures via email instead, here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open Mail app: Locate and tap on the Mail app icon, which looks like an envelope, to open it.
  2. Compose a new email: Tap on the compose button, usually located in the bottom right corner of the screen.
  3. Enter recipient’s email address: In the “To” field, type in the email address of the person you want to send the picture to.
  4. Add a subject (optional): If you want, you can add a subject line to your email by tapping on the “Subject” field and typing it in.
  5. Tap on the body of the email: Tap on the main body of the email where you will be able to type your message.
  6. Tap on Insert Photo or Video: You will see a small arrow above your keyboard. Tap on it and select “Insert Photo or Video” from the options that appear.
  7. Select a photo: Browse through your photos and tap on the one you want to attach to your email.
  8. Add optional text: If you wish, you can include some text in your email body by typing it after inserting the photo.
  9. Tap Send: Finally, tap on the send button (usually located in the top right corner) to send your email with the attached picture!

Sending a Picture via AirDrop

If you’re sending a picture to someone nearby who also has an iPhone and AirDrop enabled, using AirDrop is incredibly convenient. Here’s how:

  1. Open Control Center: Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen (or swipe up from bottom center on older iPhone models) to open the Control Center.
  2. Enable AirDrop: Press and hold the connectivity box in the top-left corner of the Control Center to open more options. Tap on “AirDrop” and choose either “Contacts Only” or “Everyone,” depending on who you want to send the picture to.
  3. Open Photos app: Locate and tap on the Photos app icon to open it.
  4. Select a photo: Browse through your photos and tap on the one you want to send via AirDrop.
  5. Tap on Share icon: Look for a square box with an upward-pointing arrow at the bottom-left corner of your screen.

    Tap on it.

  6. Select recipient’s device: You will now see a list of available devices nearby. Tap on the recipient’s device name to send them the picture via AirDrop.

Sending pictures from your iPhone is as easy as that! Whether you prefer iMessage, email, or AirDrop, you can effortlessly share your favorite moments with others. So go ahead, capture those memories and spread joy with just a few taps!
