Are you curious about how much time you spend on your Android device? With the Screen Time feature, you can easily track and manage your usage. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to see your screen time on Android.

Step 1: Accessing Settings

To begin, open the Settings app on your Android device. You can usually find it in your app drawer or by swiping down and tapping the gear-shaped icon in the notification panel.

Step 2: Finding Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls

Scroll down until you see the “Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls” option. This feature allows you to keep track of your screen time and set limits for certain apps.

If you don’t see this option in your settings, it might be because your device manufacturer has customized the settings menu. In that case, you can skip this tutorial or search online for specific instructions for your device.

Step 3: Accessing Screen Time

Tap on “Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls” to enter the screen time settings. Here, you will find an overview of your daily device usage.

Step 4: Viewing Your Screen Time

In the Digital Wellbeing dashboard, you will see a graph displaying your screen time for today. Below that, there is a breakdown of how much time you have spent on each app.

If this is your first time using Digital Wellbeing, it may take a few days for accurate data to be collected. So don’t worry if there isn’t much information initially.

Step 5: Analyzing App Usage

To dig deeper into your app usage, tap on the “See all activity” link. Here, you will find a detailed breakdown of your daily usage, including the number of times you have unlocked your phone and notifications received.

Step 6: Setting App Limits

If you find that you are spending too much time on certain apps, you can set limits to help manage your usage. Simply tap on the app you want to limit and select “Set daily timer.” From there, you can choose how much time you want to allow yourself on that app each day.

Step 7: Utilizing Wind Down

The Digital Wellbeing feature also includes a Wind Down mode to help you establish a healthy bedtime routine. It gradually fades your screen to grayscale and enables Do Not Disturb mode at a specific time each night.

To enable Wind Down, go back to the main Digital Wellbeing dashboard and tap on “Wind Down. “

With the Screen Time feature on Android, you can easily keep track of your device usage and make informed decisions about managing your screen time. By analyzing your app usage and setting limits, you can create a healthier relationship with your phone.

Remember, it’s important to strike a balance between technology use and other aspects of life. Use these tools to stay mindful of your screen time while still enjoying all the benefits that Android has to offer.
