Are you tired of receiving unwanted messages from blocked numbers on your iPhone? Don’t worry, there’s a way to see these messages without having to unblock the number. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to view messages from blocked numbers on your iPhone.

Step 1: Open Settings

To begin, open the Settings app on your iPhone. You can find this app on your home screen, represented by a gray gear icon.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap Messages

Within the Settings app, scroll down until you see “Messages” and tap on it. This will open the Messages settings menu.

Step 3: Tap Blocked Contacts

In the Messages settings menu, locate and tap “Blocked Contacts.” Here you will find a list of all the numbers that you have blocked on your iPhone.

Step 4: Unblock the contact temporarily

In order to see messages from a blocked number, you need to unblock it temporarily. To do this, swipe left on the contact’s name or number and tap “Unblock.”

Note:

If you want to permanently unblock the number after viewing their message, follow steps 1-3 and swipe left on their name or number again. Then tap “Unblock” once more to remove them from your blocked contacts list.

Step 5: Open Messages app

Now that you have temporarily unblocked the contact, go back to your home screen and open the Messages app. You will be able to see any new messages from this previously blocked number.

Note:

The temporary unblocking allows you to view messages sent by blocked numbers, but it does not remove them from your blocked list. After viewing the message, the contact will still be blocked.

Step 6: Reply or ignore

Once you have read the message from the blocked number, you can choose to reply or ignore it. Keep in mind that if you reply, the contact will still be blocked after sending your response.

Note:

If you decide to permanently unblock the number, refer to step 4 for instructions on how to do so.

Conclusion

As you can see, there is a simple way to view messages from blocked numbers on your iPhone without fully unblocking them. By temporarily unblocking a contact, you can access their messages while maintaining your privacy and blocking preferences. Remember to reblock the number if you no longer wish to receive messages from them.
