In today’s digital age, scanning documents has become an essential task. Gone are the days of bulky scanners and complicated software.

With the advancements in technology, you can now easily scan documents using your iPhone. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of scanning using your iPhone, step by step.

Step 1: Find the Notes App

The first step to scanning a document using your iPhone is to locate the Notes app. The Notes app comes pre-installed on all iPhones and can be found on your home screen. It is represented by a yellow icon with a white notepad.

Step 2: Open a New Note

Once you have opened the Notes app, tap on the “New Note” button located at the bottom right corner of the screen. This will open a blank note where you can start scanning your document.

Step 3: Access the Scanning Feature

To access the scanning feature within the Notes app, tap on the “+” button located above your keyboard. This will open a menu with various options.

Step 3.1: Tap on ‘Scan Documents’

From the menu options, select “Scan Documents”. This will activate your iPhone’s camera and allow you to scan your document.

Step 4: Position Your Document

Now that you have activated the scanning feature, position your document within the frame that appears on your screen. Make sure that all edges of your document are visible and that there is sufficient lighting.

Note:

TIP: If necessary, use additional lighting or adjust your document to ensure optimal visibility.

Step 5: Capture and Adjust the Scan

Once your document is properly positioned, tap on the circular capture button at the bottom center of your screen. Your iPhone will automatically detect the document and capture the scan.

After capturing the scan, you can use the editing tools that appear on your screen to make adjustments if necessary. These tools include cropping, rotating, and adjusting brightness and contrast.

Step 6: Save or Share Your Scan

Once you are satisfied with the scan, tap on “Save” to save it within your note. You can also tap on “Share” to send it via email, messaging apps, or save it to cloud storage services such as iCloud or Dropbox.

Note:

IMPORTANT: Remember to provide a descriptive name for your scanned document so that you can easily locate it in the future.

Step 7: Repeat or Close

If you have more documents to scan, repeat steps 4-6. Otherwise, simply close the scanning feature by tapping on “Done” located at the top right corner of your screen.

Note:

TIP: You can access your scanned documents anytime within the Notes app by navigating to the specific note and tapping on it.

Congratulations! You have successfully learned how to scan using your iPhone.

With this knowledge, you can now conveniently digitize important documents on-the-go without any additional equipment or complicated processes. Happy scanning!
