Do you often receive important audio messages on your iPhone that you want to save for later reference? Saving audio messages on an iPhone is a simple process that can be done in just a few steps. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to save audio messages on your iPhone.

Step 1: Open the Messages app

To begin, locate and open the Messages app on your iPhone. This app is represented by a green speech bubble icon and is usually found on the home screen or in the dock at the bottom of your device.

Step 2: Select the conversation

Next, navigate through your conversations and select the one that contains the audio message you wish to save. Tap on the conversation to open it.

Step 3: Find and play the audio message

Once you have opened the conversation, scroll through the messages until you find the audio message you want to save. Look for an audio file thumbnail or an inline player with a play button.

If there are multiple messages within the conversation, tap on each one until you find the specific audio message you wish to save. Once located, tap on it to play it.

Step 4: Access additional options

While playing the audio message, look for three dots (“..”) or an arrow pointing upwards (⇧) near or below it. These symbols indicate additional options for that particular message.

  • Bold text: Tap on “.” or ⇧ to access more options for saving or sharing the audio message.
  • Bold text: Some of these options may include forwarding, copying, deleting, or saving the audio message.

Step 5: Save the audio message

Once you have accessed the additional options, look for the “Save” or “Save Audio” option. This will vary depending on your iPhone’s software version and the messaging app you are using.

If you cannot find a direct “Save” option, look for an option to export or share the audio message. This will usually allow you to save it to your device.

Step 6: Locate the saved audio message

After saving the audio message, it is important to know where it is stored on your iPhone. By default, saved audio messages are stored in the Voice Memos app.

To access the saved audio message, exit the Messages app and locate and open the Voice Memos app on your iPhone. The saved audio message should be listed there for playback or further actions.

Note:

If you cannot find the Voice Memos app on your iPhone, it may be hidden or deleted. In such cases, you can download it from the App Store.

Congratulations! You have successfully learned how to save audio messages on your iPhone. Now you can easily save those important voice recordings and refer back to them whenever needed.

Remember that saving audio messages may consume storage space on your device. It is advisable to regularly manage and delete unnecessary saved messages to free up space.
