iPhone, Tutorials

Welcome to this tutorial on how to remove a VPN from your iPhone. If you have been using a VPN on your device and now wish to remove it, follow the steps below to do so.

Step 1: Access the Settings

To begin, open your iPhone’s Settings app by tapping on the gear icon.

Step 2: Locate General Settings

In the Settings menu, scroll down until you find the option for “General” and tap on it.

Step 3: Find VPN Settings

Within the General settings, scroll down again until you see “VPN”. Tap on it to access the VPN settings.

Step 4: Remove VPN Configuration

In the VPN settings, you will see a list of installed VPN configurations. Tap on the one you wish to remove.

  • Note: If you have multiple VPN configurations installed, repeat this step for each one.

Option A: Disconnect and Remove

If your selected VPN configuration is currently connected, tap on the toggle switch next to “Status” to disconnect from it.

Once disconnected, scroll down and tap on “Delete VPN” or “Remove Configuration”. Confirm your action if prompted.

Option B: Remove Without Disconnecting

If you prefer not to disconnect from the VPN before removing its configuration, simply scroll down and tap on “Delete VPN” or “Remove Configuration”.

Step 5: Verify Removal

To ensure that the VPN has been successfully removed from your iPhone, go back to the main Settings menu. You should no longer see the VPN option under General settings.

That’s it! You have successfully removed the VPN from your iPhone.

Remember, removing a VPN configuration will prevent your device from connecting to that specific VPN network. If you decide to use a VPN again in the future, simply follow the steps to install a new configuration.
