Backup Your Photos

Before deleting any photos, it’s important to create a backup to ensure that you don’t lose any precious memories. There are several ways to backup your iPhone photos:

  • iCloud: Enable iCloud Photo Library in your iPhone settings to automatically backup all your photos to the cloud. This allows you to access them from any device.
  • iTunes: Connect your iPhone to your computer and use iTunes to create a backup of all your data, including photos.
  • Third-party Apps: There are various third-party apps available on the App Store that can help you back up and manage your photos.

Delete Photos From Camera Roll

To delete individual or multiple photos from the Camera Roll on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Photos app: Locate and tap on the “Photos” app icon on your home screen.
  2. Select the desired album: Tap on “Albums” at the bottom of the screen and choose the album containing the photos you want to delete. If you want to delete photos from multiple albums, select “All Photos”.
  3. Select the photos: Tap on “Select” at the top-right corner of the screen.

Then tap on each photo you want to delete. Selected photos will have a blue checkmark.

  4. Delete the photos: Once you have selected all the photos you want to remove, tap on the trash can icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Confirm the deletion by tapping “Delete Photo”.

Delete Photos From Recently Deleted Album

When you delete photos from your Camera Roll, they are moved to the “Recently Deleted” album, where they are stored for 30 days before being permanently deleted. To remove them completely:

  1. Open the Photos app: Launch the “Photos” app on your iPhone.
  2. Access Recently Deleted album: Tap on “Albums” at the bottom of the screen and select “Recently Deleted”.
  3. Delete photos permanently: Tap on “Select” at the top-right corner of the screen. Then tap on each photo you want to delete permanently.

Selected photos will have a blue checkmark. Finally, tap on “Delete” at the bottom-right corner of the screen and confirm by tapping “Delete Photo”.

Delete Photos From Other Albums

In addition to Camera Roll and Recently Deleted, there might be other albums created automatically or by third-party apps that contain photos. To delete photos from these albums:

  1. Open Albums: Launch the “Photos” app and tap on “Albums” at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select an album: Browse through your albums and select the one containing photos you want to delete.
  3. Delete photos: Tap on “Select” at the top-right corner of the screen. Then tap on each photo you want to remove. Finally, tap on the trash can icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen and confirm by tapping “Delete Photo”.

By following these simple steps, you can easily delete photos from your iPhone and reclaim storage space. Remember to regularly backup your photos to keep them safe and secure.
