How to Remove Credit Card From Google Play on Android

If you no longer wish to have your credit card information saved on your Google Play account, it’s a quick and easy process to remove it. Whether you want to change your payment method or simply remove the card altogether, this tutorial will guide you through the steps for removing a credit card from Google Play on Android devices.

Step 1: Open Google Play Store

To get started, locate and tap on the Google Play Store app on your Android device. It usually has an icon that resembles a colored triangle.

Step 2: Access Payment Methods

Within the Google Play Store, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen to open the menu. From the menu, select “Payment methods”.

Step 3: Select Credit Card to Remove

In the “Payment methods” section, you’ll see a list of all the payment options associated with your account. Scroll down until you find the credit card you want to remove.

Note:

If you don’t see any credit cards listed, it means that you haven’t added any cards to your account yet.

Step 4: Remove Credit Card

Tap on the credit card that you want to remove. This will open a new screen with detailed information about that particular card.

To proceed with removing the credit card:

  • If available, tap on the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of the screen.
  • A menu will appear, and from that menu, select “Remove”.
  • You’ll be prompted to confirm the removal of the credit card. If you’re certain, tap on the “Remove” button.

Step 5: Confirmation

After confirming the removal, you’ll receive a notification at the bottom of your screen confirming that the credit card has been successfully removed from your Google Play account.

Congratulations! You have successfully removed a credit card from Google Play on your Android device.

Note:

Removing a credit card from your Google Play account won’t cancel any subscriptions or recurring payments tied to that card. Make sure to update your payment method for any active subscriptions before removing the card.

Now that you know how to remove a credit card from Google Play on Android, you can easily manage your payment methods and keep your account information up to date.
