iPhone, Tutorials

In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to print an email from your iPhone. Sometimes, it becomes necessary to have a hard copy of an important email for various reasons.

Fortunately, printing emails directly from your iPhone is a straightforward process. Follow the steps below to learn how to do it.

Step 1: Open the Mail App

To begin, locate and tap on the Mail app on your iPhone’s home screen. The Mail app is represented by an envelope icon and is usually pre-installed on all iPhones.

Step 2: Select the Email

Once you have opened the Mail app, navigate to the mailbox that contains the email you want to print. Tap on the email to open it.

Step 3: Access More Options

With the email open, look for the Reply/Forward/Print button located at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Tap on it to reveal additional options.

Note:

If you are using an older version of iOS, you may need to tap on Action, represented by a square box with an arrow pointing out of it, instead of Reply/Forward/Print.

Step 4: Print Options

In this step, select Print. The Print options screen will appear.

Step 5: Choose Printer and Settings

Your iPhone will automatically search for any available AirPrint-enabled printers nearby. Once it finds a printer, tap on it to select it.

If your printer supports multiple printing settings such as page range or number of copies, you can adjust these options accordingly.

Step 6: Print the Email

After selecting the printer and adjusting any necessary settings, tap on the Print button located in the top-right corner of the screen. Your iPhone will send the print job to the selected printer.

Depending on your printer, you may need to wait for a few moments while it processes and prints the email. Once completed, you will have a hard copy of your email in hand.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you encounter any issues while printing an email from your iPhone, try these troubleshooting tips:

  • Check Printer Connectivity: Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone.
  • Update iOS: Make sure your iPhone’s operating system is up to date by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Restart iPhone: Restarting your iPhone can help resolve minor software glitches. Press and hold the power button until the “Slide to power off” slider appears.

Slide it from left to right to turn off your device. To turn it back on, press and hold the power button again until the Apple logo appears.
