Are you looking to make a three-way call on your Android device? Whether it’s for a business conference or catching up with friends, three-way calling can be a useful feature. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to make a three-way call on Android.

Step 1: Open Phone App

To begin, locate and open the Phone app on your Android device. This app typically has an icon that resembles a phone receiver.

Step 2: Dial the First Number

Once you have opened the Phone app, dial the number of the first person you want to include in your three-way call. You can do this by manually entering the number using the keypad or selecting a contact from your phonebook.

TIP:

If you are copying and pasting a number from another app or source, make sure to double-check for any spaces or formatting issues that might interfere with dialing the number correctly.

Step 3: Place the First Call

After entering or selecting the first person’s number, tap on the “Call” button to initiate the call. Wait for the person to answer before proceeding to the next step.

Step 4: Add the Second Person

While on the first call, look for an option or button that allows you to add another person. This option is usually represented by an icon with a plus sign (+) or labeled as “Add Call” or “Merge Calls”. Tap on this button to put your current call on hold and activate options for adding another call.

TIP:

If you cannot find this option during an ongoing call, it is possible that your carrier or phone model does not support three-way calling. In such cases, you may need to contact your carrier for further assistance.

Step 5: Dial the Second Number

Once you have activated the option to add another call, you will be taken back to the Phone app screen. From here, you can dial the number of the second person you want to include in your three-way call, using the same methods as in Step 2.

Step 6: Place the Second Call and Merge

After entering or selecting the second person’s number, tap on the “Call” button to initiate the second call. Wait for this person to answer before proceeding.

Once both calls are connected and active, look for a button or option that allows you to merge or combine the calls into a three-way call. This button is typically represented by an icon with two arrows pointing towards each other, or labeled as “Merge Calls”. Tap on this button to merge the two calls into one three-way call.

TIP:

If one of the callers hangs up during the merging process, it may disconnect all parties from the call. If this happens, repeat Steps 4 and 5 to re-establish a three-way connection.

Step 7: Enjoy Your Three-Way Call!

Once successfully merged, you can now enjoy your three-way call on Android! You can speak with both callers simultaneously or switch between them using options available on your screen.

Congratulations! You have successfully learned how to make a three-way call on Android. Now you can easily connect with multiple people in a single conversation.
