In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to log out of Twitter on your Android device. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to sign out of your Twitter account.

Step 1: Open the Twitter App

To begin, locate the Twitter app icon on your Android device’s home screen or app drawer. It is a blue bird icon with a white background. Tap on the icon to launch the app.

Step 2: Access the Menu

Once the Twitter app is open, you will be directed to your home feed or profile page. To access the menu options, tap on the three horizontal lines located in the top-left corner of your screen. This will open the side menu.

Step 3: Navigate to Settings and Privacy

In the side menu, scroll down until you find “Settings and privacy.” It is usually located towards the bottom of the list. Tap on it to proceed.

Step 4: Open Account Settings

In the “Settings and privacy” section, you will see various options related to your account. Look for “Account” and tap on it to access your account settings.

Step 5: Find Log Out Option

Within your account settings, scroll down until you find “Log out.” It is usually located towards the bottom of this section.

Note:

If you have multiple accounts logged in simultaneously, you may see “Log out all accounts” instead. In that case, tap on it to log out from all accounts at once.

Step 6: Confirm Log Out

After tapping on “Log out” (or “Log out all accounts”), a confirmation dialog box will appear on your screen. It will ask you to confirm if you want to log out of your Twitter account.

Read the message carefully, as it might contain important information about the consequences of logging out. If you are sure you want to proceed, tap on “Log out” or “Yes” to confirm.

Step 7: Log In Again (Optional)

Once you have successfully logged out of your Twitter account, you will be redirected to the login screen. If you wish to log in with a different account, enter your credentials and tap on “Log in.” Otherwise, simply close the app.

Congratulations! You have successfully logged out of your Twitter account on Android.

Tips:

  • If you use a shared device, it is essential to log out after each session to protect your privacy and ensure the security of your Twitter account.
  • If you no longer wish to use Twitter on your Android device, consider uninstalling the app altogether. This will free up storage space and reduce distractions.
