In this tutorial, we will show you how to lock your hidden photos on your iPhone so that only you can access them. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Open the Photos App

First, locate and open the Photos app on your iPhone. You can usually find it on your home screen.

Step 2: Select the Photos You Want to Hide

Select the photos that you want to hide by tapping on the “Select” button at the top right corner of the screen. Once selected, a blue checkmark will appear on each photo.

TIP:

If you want to hide multiple photos at once, simply slide your finger across each photo or tap and hold one photo and then tap on additional photos.

Step 3: Tap on the Share Button

After selecting all the desired photos, tap on the share button located at the bottom left corner of the screen. It looks like a square with an arrow pointing up.

Step 4: Choose “Hide” from the Options

A list of options will appear after tapping on the share button. Scroll through and find “Hide” in the list of actions. Tap on it to hide all selected photos.

TIP:

If you can’t find “Hide” in the list of options, swipe left or right to reveal more actions. Alternatively, you can customize which actions appear by tapping on “More” and enabling or disabling specific actions.

Step 5: Confirm Your Action

A prompt will appear asking if you want to hide the selected photos. Tap on “Hide Photos” to confirm your action.

Step 6: View Hidden Photos

To view your hidden photos, go back to the main Albums tab in the Photos app. Scroll down until you find the “Hidden” album. Tap on it to access your hidden photos.

TIP:

If you want to unhide any of the photos, simply select them from the Hidden album and tap on the share button again. This time, choose “Unhide” from the list of options.

Step 7: Secure Your Hidden Photos with a Passcode

If you want an extra layer of security for your hidden photos, you can enable a passcode. Go to Settings > Photos and toggle on “Hidden Album”. This will require a passcode or Face ID authentication to access your hidden photos.
