One such important aspect of privacy is the ability to lock albums on iPhone. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of securing your albums on your iPhone.

Step 1: Update your iPhone

Before proceeding with locking your albums, it is crucial to ensure that your iPhone is running on the latest software version. This ensures that you have access to the latest security features and bug fixes.

Step 2: Open the Photos app

To begin securing your albums, open the Photos app on your iPhone. This app allows you to manage and organize all your photos and videos in one place.

Step 3: Select an album

Browse through your albums and select the one that you want to lock. It could be a personal album containing sensitive photos or any other collection that you want to keep private.

Step 4: Tap on the three-dot menu

Once you have selected the desired album, tap on the three-dot menu icon located at the top-right corner of the screen. This will open a drop-down menu with various options.

Step 5: Choose “Select Items”

In the drop-down menu, select “Select Items” option. This will allow you to choose specific photos or videos within the album that you want to lock.

Step 6: Select items

In this step, choose all the items within the album that you want to lock. You can do this by tapping on each photo or video individually. As you select an item, it will be highlighted with a checkmark.

Step 7: Tap on the Share button

Once you have selected the desired items, tap on the Share button located at the bottom-left corner of the screen. This button is represented by a square with an arrow pointing upwards.

Step 8: Find and tap on “Hide”

In the Share menu, scroll through the options until you find “Hide” option. Tap on it to proceed with locking your selected items.

Step 9: Confirm your action

A confirmation prompt will appear on your screen, asking if you want to hide the selected items. Tap on “Hide Photo(s)” to confirm your action. This will lock and hide the selected items from your main albums view.

Step 10: Accessing locked albums

To access your locked albums, go back to the main Albums view in the Photos app. Scroll down until you find a new section called “Hidden”. Tap on it to open.

If you cannot find the “Hidden” section in your Albums view, you may need to enable it. Go to Settings > Photos and toggle on “Hidden Album” under the “Photos” section.
