Are you tired of receiving calls from unknown numbers or simply want to maintain your privacy? The good news is that you can hide your caller ID on an iPhone. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to do just that.

Step 1: Open Settings

To get started, unlock your iPhone and locate the Settings app. It is usually represented by a gear icon.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap on ‘Phone’

Within the Settings menu, scroll down until you find the ‘Phone’ option. Tap on it to proceed.

Step 3: Select ‘Show My Caller ID’

In the ‘Phone’ settings, scroll down until you see the ‘Show My Caller ID’ option. Tap on it to access further settings.

Step 4: Toggle off ‘Show My Caller ID’

You will now see a toggle switch next to ‘Show My Caller ID’. By default, it should be turned on.

To hide your caller ID, simply tap on the toggle switch to turn it off. Once disabled, your caller ID will be hidden for all outgoing calls.

  • Note: Hiding your caller ID may not work in all countries or with all carriers. Make sure to check if this feature is supported by your carrier.

Troubleshooting:

  • If you are unable to find the ‘Show My Caller ID’ option in your Phone settings, it might be due to certain restrictions set by your carrier. Contact your carrier’s customer support for further assistance.
  • If you have successfully disabled your caller ID but want to show it again for specific calls, simply enter *82 before dialing the desired number. This will temporarily unhide your caller ID for that specific call.

That’s it! You have successfully hidden your caller ID on your iPhone. Now you can make calls with increased privacy and avoid unwanted interruptions.

Remember: Always use this feature responsibly and respect the privacy of others. Happy calling!
