How to Get Icloud Email on Android

In today’s digital age, it’s common for individuals to have multiple email accounts across various platforms. If you’re an iPhone user who also owns an Android device, you might find it challenging to access your iCloud email on your Android device. However, with a few simple steps, you can easily set up and start using your iCloud email on Android.

Step 1: Enable IMAP Access

Before proceeding with the setup, make sure that IMAP access is enabled for your iCloud account. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Open a web browser and navigate to the iCloud website.
  • Step 2: Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  • Step 3: Click on the “Mail” icon to access your iCloud Mail.
  • Step 4: Go to “Settings” by clicking on the gear icon in the bottom-left corner of the page.
  • Step 5: In the “Settings” panel, click on “Preferences”.
  • Step 6: Click on the “Accounts” tab.
  • Step 7: Under the “Advanced” section, check if IMAP access is enabled. If not, enable it by ticking the checkbox next to “Enable IMAP”.

Step 2: Add an Email Account on Android

To add your iCloud email account to your Android device, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Open the “Settings” app on your Android device.
  • Step 2: Scroll down and tap on “Accounts” or “Accounts and Backup” (depending on your device).
  • Step 3: Tap on “Add Account”.
  • Step 4: Select “Email” or “Personal (IMAP)” from the list of account types.
  • Step 5: Enter your iCloud email address and tap “Next”.
  • Step 6: Choose “IMAP” as the account type.
  • Step 7: In the incoming mail server settings, enter the following information:
    • Email address: Your iCloud email address
    • Password: Your iCloud password
    • Incoming server: imap.mail.me.com
    • Incoming port: 993
    • Incoming security type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)

    Step 3: Configure Outgoing Mail Server Settings

    After setting up the incoming mail server, you’ll need to configure the outgoing mail server settings to send emails from your iCloud account. Here’s how:

    • Step 1: In the outgoing mail server settings, enter the following information:
      • Email address: Your iCloud email address
      • Password: Your iCloud password
      • Outgoing server: smtp.com
      • Outgoing port: 587
      • Outgoing security type: STARTTLS (Accept all certificates)
      • Require sign-in: Make sure this option is checked.
  • Incoming Server: smtp.com

  • Incoming Port: 587

  • Incoming Security Type: STARTTLS (Accept all certificates)

    Step 4: Complete the Setup Process

    Once you’ve entered all the required information, tap on “Next” or “Done” to complete the setup process. Your Android device will then verify your account details and establish a connection with your iCloud email server.

    Congratulations! You’ve successfully set up your iCloud email on your Android device. Now you can access and manage your iCloud emails directly from your Android device’s default email app.

    Note that syncing between devices might take some time initially, depending on the number of emails and attachments in your iCloud account. Once the initial sync is complete, your emails will be seamlessly accessible across all your devices.
