Step 1: Open the Settings App

To begin, unlock your iPhone and locate the Settings app on your home screen. It has a gray icon with gears on it. Tap on the Settings app to open it.

Step 2: Find the ‘Phone’ Option

Once you are in the Settings app, scroll down until you find the option labeled ‘Phone’. It is usually located towards the middle of the screen. Tap on it to proceed.

Step 3: Select ‘Call Forwarding’

In the Phone settings menu, look for an option called ‘Call Forwarding’. It is usually located near the top of the screen. Tap on it to access further settings.

Step 4: Enable Call Forwarding

You should now see a toggle switch labeled ‘Call Forwarding’. By default, this option is turned off. To activate call forwarding, tap on the toggle switch so that it turns green.

Note:

In order to forward calls on your iPhone, you need to have a valid forwarding number set up. This number can be any other phone number where you want your calls to be redirected. Make sure to set up call forwarding using another phone number before proceeding with this tutorial.

Step 5: Enter Your Forwarding Number

After enabling call forwarding, a new text field will appear below. Tap on this text field and enter the phone number where you want your calls to be forwarded. Make sure to include the area code.

Note:

If you want to forward calls to your voicemail, you can enter your own phone number in this field.

Step 6: Save Your Settings

Once you have entered the forwarding number, tap on the ‘Back’ button at the top left corner of the screen. This will take you back to the main Phone settings menu.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up call forwarding on your iPhone.

Now, all incoming calls will be redirected to your specified forwarding number. Remember to disable call forwarding when you no longer need it by following the same steps and turning off the toggle switch.

Note:

Some carriers may charge additional fees for call forwarding services. Make sure to check with your carrier for any applicable charges or restrictions before using this feature.

  • Pro Tip: If you frequently use call forwarding, you can create a shortcut on your home screen for quick access. Simply press and hold on the Phone app icon until a menu appears, then select ‘Add to Home Screen’.

This will create a shortcut that takes you directly to the call forwarding settings.

  • Important: Call forwarding settings may vary depending on your carrier and location. If you are unable to find the ‘Call Forwarding’ option in your iPhone’s settings, it is possible that this feature is not supported by your carrier or plan. Contact your carrier’s customer support for further assistance.

Now that you know how to forward calls on your iPhone, you can stay connected even when you’re not physically available. Enjoy uninterrupted communication and never miss an important call again!
