How to Find Recently Deleted Photos on iPhone
Have you accidentally deleted some precious photos from your iPhone? Don’t worry, there’s a way to recover them! In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through the process of finding recently deleted photos on your iPhone and restoring them back to your photo library.
Step 1: Open the Photos App
Start by locating and opening the Photos app on your iPhone. You can usually find it on your home screen or in a folder labeled “Utilities.”
Step 2: Tap on the “Albums” Tab
In the bottom toolbar of the Photos app, tap on the “Albums” tab. This will take you to a screen displaying all your photo albums.
Step 3: Scroll Down and Find “Recently Deleted”
Scroll down through the list of albums until you find one called “Recently Deleted.” Tap on it to access your recently deleted photos.
Step 4: Browse Deleted Photos
You’ll now see a collection of all the photos you’ve recently deleted. You can tap on individual photos to preview them or use swipe gestures to browse through them.
Note:
If you’re unable to find any photos in the “Recently Deleted” album, it means that there are no recently deleted photos available for recovery. iOS automatically deletes these photos after a certain period of time or if you’ve manually emptied the “Recently Deleted” album.
Step 5: Restore or Permanently Delete Photos
If you want to restore a deleted photo back into your photo library, simply tap on it to open the preview and then tap on the “Recover” button located at the bottom right corner of the screen. The photo will be immediately restored to its original location.
On the other hand, if you want to permanently delete a photo from the “Recently Deleted” album, select it and tap on the “Delete” button. This action will remove the photo from your iPhone permanently.
Step 6: Check Your Photo Library
Once you’ve restored all your desired photos, go back to your Photos app and navigate through your albums or use the “Photos” tab at the bottom to check if they have been successfully recovered into your photo library.
Note:
If you have enabled iCloud Photos on your iPhone, any photos you recover will also sync across all your devices that are signed in with the same Apple ID.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully learned how to find recently deleted photos on your iPhone and restore them back to your photo library. Remember to regularly check the “Recently Deleted” album for any accidental deletions in order to prevent losing precious memories.
Please note that this tutorial is applicable for iPhones running iOS 14 or later versions.
