Step 1: Visit the Zoom Website

To begin, open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Zoom website. This is where you can find the official download link for Zoom.

Step 2: Find the Download Page

Once you’re on the Zoom website, locate the “Resources” tab in the navigation menu. Hover over it, and a dropdown menu will appear. From this menu, click on “Download Zoom Client”.

Step 3: Choose Your Download Option

On the download page, you’ll find different options for downloading Zoom. For Mac users, click on the “Download” button under “Zoom Client for Meetings”. This will initiate the download process.

Step 4: Install Zoom

Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file in your Downloads folder or wherever your browser saves downloaded files. The file name should be something like “zoominstaller.pkg”. Double-click on it to run the installer.

A new window will appear with installation instructions. Follow these instructions carefully and click “Continue”, then “Agree”, and finally “Install”.

You may be prompted to enter your administrator password to authorize the installation. Enter your password and click “Install Software”.

Note:

If you encounter any issues during the installation process, make sure your Mac meets the system requirements for Zoom. You can find these requirements on the Zoom website.

Step 5: Launch Zoom

After the installation is complete, you can launch Zoom by going to your Applications folder and locating the “Zoom” app. Double-click on it to open.

Step 6: Sign in or Create an Account

When you open Zoom for the first time, you’ll have two options: sign in or create a new account. If you already have a Zoom account, enter your credentials and click “Sign In”. If you don’t have an account yet, click on “Sign Up Free” to create a new account using your email address or sign up with Google or Facebook.

Note:

Creating an account is necessary if you want to host meetings. However, if you only plan to join meetings hosted by others, signing in with your email address is sufficient.
