Do you ever find yourself wanting to download videos from YouTube directly onto your iPhone? Maybe you want to watch them offline or share them with friends.

Well, you’re in luck! In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to download YouTube videos on your iPhone. So let’s get started!

Step 1: Install a Video Downloader App

To begin, you’ll need to install a video downloader app from the App Store. There are several options available, but for this tutorial, we’ll be using the popular app called “Documents by Readdle.” Head over to the App Store, search for “Documents by Readdle,” and install it on your iPhone.

Step 2: Launch the YouTube App and Find Your Video

Once you have installed Documents by Readdle, go ahead and launch the YouTube app on your iPhone. Now find the video you want to download and tap on it to open it.

Step 3: Copy the Video URL

In order to download the video, we need to copy its URL. To do this, tap on the share button below the video (the arrow pointing upwards). A menu will appear with various options – select “Copy Link” from this menu.

Step 4: Open Documents by Readdle

Now it’s time to switch over to Documents by Readdle. Open the app and tap on the small compass icon located at the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open a built-in web browser within Documents.

Step 5: Visit a YouTube Video Downloader Website

In Documents’ built-in web browser, visit a YouTube video downloader website such as “ytmp3.cc” or “savefrom.net”. These websites allow you to paste in the video URL and download the video in various formats.

Once you’ve entered the website, tap on the search bar and hold it until a “Paste” option appears. Select “Paste” to insert the video URL.

Step 6: Download the Video

After pasting the video URL, tap on the “Download” button. You will be presented with different download options – select the format and quality that suits your needs. Once selected, wait for a few seconds while the website processes your request.

Step 7: Save the Video to Your iPhone

Once the download is complete, you will see a “Download” button with an arrow pointing downwards. Tap on it to reveal a list of options – select “Save to Files.” This will allow you to save the video directly onto your iPhone.

Note:

If prompted, grant permission for Documents by Readdle to access your Photos app so that it can save videos directly into your Camera Roll.

Step 8: Access Your Downloaded Video

To access your downloaded video, open Documents by Readdle and tap on the small compass icon once again. This time, instead of opening a web browser, it will take you to the app’s file manager. From here, navigate to “Downloads” folder and locate your downloaded video.

Congratulations! You have successfully downloaded a YouTube video onto your iPhone!

  • Tips:
    • If you want to organize your downloaded videos more efficiently, you can create a new folder within Documents by tapping on “Edit” and selecting “New Folder.”
    • To transfer your downloaded videos from Documents app to other apps or cloud storage services like Dropbox or Google Drive, simply tap and hold on the video file to reveal a list of options.

Remember: Downloading videos from YouTube is against their terms of service, so make sure you only download videos that you have permission to download or that are available for free distribution.

We hope you found this tutorial helpful! Now you can enjoy your favorite YouTube videos even when you’re offline. Happy downloading!
