How to Do a Group Call on Android

Group calls have become increasingly popular, allowing you to connect with multiple people at once. If you’re an Android user, you’ll be glad to know that making group calls is a breeze. In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the steps to do a group call on your Android device.

Step 1: Open the Phone App

To initiate a group call, start by opening the Phone app on your Android device. You can usually find this app on your home screen or in the app drawer.

Step 2: Dial the First Contact

Select the contact you want to include in the group call by tapping on their name or number in your contacts list. This will open up their contact details.

Note:

If you don’t have the contact saved, you can manually enter their number using the dial pad.

Step 3: Add More Contacts

To add more contacts to the group call, look for an option that says “Add Call” or a plus (+) icon typically located near the top of the screen. Tap on it to access your contacts list again and select additional participants.

You can add as many contacts as you want, depending on your device’s capabilities and network restrictions.

Step 4: Initiate the Group Call

Once you’ve added all desired participants, look for a button that says “Call” or similar wording. Tap on it to initiate the group call.

Note:

  • You may need to confirm your choice before proceeding with the call.
  • Some devices may have a dedicated “Group Call” option within the Phone app.

Step 5: Managing the Group Call

During the group call, you’ll have various options to manage the participants:

  • Mute: You can mute or unmute yourself during the call by tapping on the microphone icon.
  • Add Participants: If you want to add more contacts to the ongoing call, look for an option that says “Add Call” or a plus (+) icon.
  • Remove Participants: To remove a participant from the group call, locate their name or number in the call screen and swipe left or right. A prompt will appear, asking you to confirm the removal.

The available options may vary depending on your device’s manufacturer and Android version.
