To begin, open Safari on your Mac and click on the “Safari” option in the menu bar. From the drop-down menu, select “Preferences”.

Step 2: Access Passwords

In the Preferences window, click on the “Passwords” tab located at the top of the window. You may be prompted to enter your computer’s administrator password to proceed.

Step 3: View Saved Passwords

Once you are in the Passwords tab, you will see a list of websites for which Safari has saved passwords. Each entry in the list includes the website’s name, your username, and a hidden password field.

  • Bold Text: The website’s name is displayed in bold text for easy identification.
  • Underlined Text: Your username is underlined to differentiate it from other information.
  • List Item:
    • You can use sub-lists to break down steps into more manageable chunks.
    • This helps readers follow along and ensures clarity in instructions.

Step 4: Delete Saved Passwords

To delete a specific password from Safari’s saved passwords list, select it from the list by clicking on it once. Then click on the “Remove” button located at the bottom left corner of the window. Confirm your action by clicking “Remove” in the pop-up window.

If you want to delete multiple passwords, hold down the Command key on your keyboard and click on each password entry you wish to delete. Once you have selected all the passwords, click on the “Remove” button.

Step 5: Clear All Saved Passwords

If you want to delete all saved passwords in Safari at once, click on the “Remove All” button located next to the “Remove” button. Confirm your action by clicking “Remove All” in the pop-up window.

Keep in mind that deleting a saved password will remove your ability to automatically log into websites associated with that password. You will need to manually enter your login credentials each time you visit those websites.
