How to Delete Multiple Emails in Gmail on Android

Gmail is an incredibly popular email service that allows users to manage their emails efficiently. If you’re using Gmail on your Android device and find yourself with a cluttered inbox, deleting multiple emails at once can help you save time and stay organized. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to delete multiple emails in Gmail on Android.

Step 1: Open the Gmail App

To start the process, open the Gmail app on your Android device. The app’s icon typically resembles an envelope with a red “M” on it.

Step 2: Select Emails

Next, navigate to the inbox or any other folder where the emails you want to delete are located. To select multiple emails, tap and hold one email until it becomes highlighted. Then, without releasing your finger, tap on each additional email you want to delete.

Note: You can also select all emails in a folder by tapping the checkbox icon located at the top left corner of the screen. This will select all visible emails in that folder.

Step 3: Delete Emails

Once you have selected the desired emails, look for the trash can icon located at the top right corner of the screen. Tap on it to delete all selected emails from your Gmail account.

If you prefer a different method for deleting multiple emails in Gmail on Android, follow these steps:

  • Select All Emails: Tap on the three horizontal lines icon located at the top left corner of the screen to open the navigation drawer. Scroll down and tap “All Mail” to view all your emails across folders.

    Then, tap on “Select All” at the top right corner of the screen to select all emails in your Gmail account.

  • Filter Emails: If you only want to delete specific emails, tap on the filter icon (usually represented by three vertical lines) located at the top right corner of the screen. You can then choose various criteria like sender, date, or subject to filter out the emails you want to delete.
  • Delete Emails: Once you have selected all or filtered emails, tap on the trash can icon at the top right corner of the screen to delete them from your Gmail account.
