How to Delete Data From iPhone

In this tutorial, we will learn how to delete data from an iPhone. Whether you want to clear up some space or remove sensitive information, deleting data is a common task for iPhone users. Follow the steps below to delete data from your iPhone:

Delete Photos and Videos

If you have photos or videos that you no longer need on your iPhone, here’s how you can delete them:

  • Step 1: Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
  • Step 2: Select the album or folder containing the photos or videos you want to delete.
  • Step 3: Tap on the “Select” button at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Step 4: Choose the specific photos or videos you want to delete by tapping on them. You can also select multiple items at once by sliding your finger across them.
  • Step 5: Once you have selected all the items you want to delete, tap on the trash bin icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Note: Deleted photos and videos are moved to the “Recently Deleted” album where they will be permanently deleted after 30 days. If you change your mind within this period, you can still recover them.

Delete Apps

If there are apps on your iPhone that you no longer use or need, follow these steps to delete them:

  • Step 1: Find and tap on the app icon that you want to delete on your home screen.
  • Step 2: Press and hold the app icon until it starts shaking.
  • Step 3: Tap on the “X” icon that appears on the top left corner of the app icon.
  • Step 4: A confirmation message will appear asking if you want to delete the app. Tap on “Delete” to confirm.

Delete Contacts

If you have contacts on your iPhone that you want to remove, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Open the Contacts app on your iPhone.
  • Step 2: Find and tap on the contact you want to delete.
  • Step 3: Scroll down and tap on the “Edit” button.
  • Step 4: Scroll down again and tap on “Delete Contact”.
  • Step 5: A confirmation message will appear. Tap on “Delete Contact” to confirm.

Delete Messages

If you want to delete specific messages or entire conversations from your iPhone, here’s what you need to do:

  • Step 1: Open the Messages app on your iPhone.
  • Step 2: Find and tap on the conversation that contains the messages you want to delete.
  • Step 3: Swipe left on a specific message or tap “Edit” at the top left corner of the screen to select multiple messages.
  • Step 4: Tap on the “Delete” button to remove the selected messages or tap on “Delete All” to delete the entire conversation.
