Are you looking to free up some space on your iPhone? Deleting unnecessary apps is a great way to do that.
In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of deleting an app from your iPhone. Let’s get started!
Step 1: Locate the App
First, find the app that you want to delete on your home screen. Apps are represented by icons, so look for the icon of the app you wish to remove.
Step 2: Enter “Jiggle Mode”
To delete an app on your iPhone, you need to enter what is commonly known as “Jiggle Mode.” To do this, simply tap and hold on the app icon until it starts shaking. Once it’s shaking, you’ll know that you’re in Jiggle Mode.
If you have an iPhone with 3D Touch capability (iPhone 6s or later models), be careful not to press too hard when tapping and holding, as this will activate the Quick Actions menu instead.
Step 3: Delete the App
In Jiggle Mode, a small “X” will appear in the top left corner of each app icon on your screen. To delete the app, tap on this “X” icon.
- Tip: If you don’t see an “X” icon, it’s possible that the app is a built-in system app and cannot be deleted. These apps include Safari, Camera, Messages, etc.
Step 4: Confirm Deletion
A confirmation message will appear asking if you want to delete the app. This message serves as a safety measure to prevent accidental deletion. To proceed with the deletion, tap “Delete” or “Remove” on the confirmation message.
Step 5: Exiting Jiggle Mode
Once you have deleted the desired app, you can exit Jiggle Mode by pressing the home button on your iPhone. This will stop all the icons from shaking, and your remaining apps will be back to normal.
If you have an iPhone without a home button (iPhone X or later models), swipe up from the bottom of the screen to exit Jiggle Mode.
And that’s it! You have successfully deleted an app from your iPhone.
Deleting unused apps is a simple way to declutter your device and free up space for new apps or other important files. Happy organizing!
