Thankfully, there’s a way to delete all your Gmail emails at once on your Android device. In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through the process step by step.
Step 1: Accessing the Gmail App
Before you can delete all your emails, make sure you have the Gmail app installed on your Android device. If not, head over to the Google Play Store and download it.
Step 2: Opening the Menu
Once you have the Gmail app installed, open it on your Android device. You’ll be taken to your inbox by default.
To access the menu options, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 3: Selecting All Emails
In the menu that appears, scroll down until you see “Settings” and tap on it. Next, select your email account from the list of accounts if you have multiple accounts linked to your device.
Scroll down in the settings until you find “General settings.” Tap on it and then tap on “Manage Labels.” You’ll see a list of labels associated with your email account.
Find and tap on “All Mail” in this list. This will display all the emails in your All Mail folder.
Now, tap on the checkbox icon in the top-right corner of the screen. This will select all emails in your All Mail folder.
Step 4: Deleting Emails
With all emails selected, tap on the trash bin icon at the top. A confirmation message will appear, asking if you want to move all the selected emails to the trash. Tap on “OK” to proceed.
Note: Deleted emails are moved to the Trash folder and will be permanently deleted after 30 days. If you want to delete them immediately, follow the next step.
Step 5: Emptying the Trash
To permanently delete all your emails and empty the trash, go back to the menu by tapping on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen. Scroll down and tap on “Trash” from the menu options.
Once you’re in the Trash folder, tap on “Empty Trash now” at the top of the screen. A confirmation message will appear, asking if you want to permanently delete all emails in your Trash folder. Tap on “OK” to confirm.
And just like that, all your Gmail emails have been deleted from your Android device!
Note: Deleting all your Gmail emails is irreversible, so make sure you have a backup or have exported any important information before proceeding with these steps.
