Do you have a picture on your iPhone that you want to crop? Well, you’re in luck!

In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to easily crop a picture on your iPhone. Whether you want to remove unwanted elements from a photo or simply adjust the composition, cropping can help you achieve the desired result.

Step 1: Open the Photos App

To begin, locate and open the Photos app on your iPhone. It’s typically found on your home screen or in the app drawer. Once opened, navigate to the photo you wish to crop and tap on it to view it in full screen.

Step 2: Tap Edit

Once you have opened the desired photo, look for the “Edit” button located at the top-right corner of your screen. Tap on it to enter editing mode.

Step 3: Select Crop Tool

After tapping “Edit,” you will see several editing options at the bottom of your screen. Look for the Crop tool; it is represented by a square icon with overlapping lines. Tap on it to activate the cropping feature.

Step 4: Adjust Crop Area

Now that you have entered crop mode, you can adjust the area you want to keep in your photo. To do this, simply drag any of the blue dots at each corner of the frame inward or outward. This allows you to resize and reshape the cropping area according to your preferences.

Tips:

  • Pinch gesture: You can also use a pinch gesture (spreading two fingers apart or pinching them together) directly on your photo to adjust and resize the cropping area.
  • Aspect ratio: If you want to maintain a specific aspect ratio while cropping, tap on the “Aspect Ratio” button located at the bottom-left corner of your screen. Here, you can choose from several pre-set ratios or select “Original” to crop freely without any constraints.

Step 5: Confirm and Save

Once you are satisfied with the adjustments made to your photo, tap on the “Done” button located at the bottom-right corner of your screen. This will apply the changes and save the cropped version as a new photo in your library.

Note:

If you change your mind and want to revert to the original photo, simply open it again in editing mode and tap on “Revert” located at the bottom-right corner of your screen. This will discard all changes made since entering editing mode.

Cropping a picture on iPhone is a quick and straightforward process that can greatly enhance your photos. Whether you want to eliminate distractions or improve composition, this powerful tool allows you to achieve stunning results. So go ahead, give it a try!
