Creating a Text Group on iPhone can be a useful way to stay connected with a group of people. Whether you want to plan an event, discuss a project, or simply chat with friends, a text group allows you to send messages to multiple people at once. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of creating a text group on your iPhone.

Step 1: Open the Messages App

To create a text group on your iPhone, start by opening the Messages app. This app allows you to send and receive text messages with your contacts.

Step 2: Tap on the Compose New Message Icon

Once you have opened the Messages app, look for the icon that resembles a square with a pencil inside it. This icon is located in the top-right corner of the screen. Tap on it to compose a new message.

Step 3: Enter Recipients

In the “To” field of the new message screen, enter the names or phone numbers of the people you want to include in your text group. As you type, your iPhone will suggest contacts that match what you are entering. Tap on each suggestion or manually enter their names or phone numbers until all desired recipients are added.

Step 4: Name Your Group

Beneath the list of recipients, there is an option to name your group. Tap on “Enter Group Name” and type in a name for your text group. This name will be visible to all members of the group.

Note:

If you skip this step, your text group will be named based on one of the recipient’s names by default.

Step 5: Write Your Message

Below the recipient list and group name, you will see a text field where you can write your message. Tap on it to start typing your message. You can use various HTML styling elements to format your text and make it more engaging.

Bold Text: To make any part of your message bold, enclose that section within the tags. For example, to make the word “hello” bold, type <b>hello</b>.

Underlined Text: To underline any part of your message, use the tags. For instance, to underline the word “important”, type <u>important</u>.

Step 6: Add Lists

You can also add lists to your message using HTML. To create an unordered list (a bulleted list), use the

    tags.

Each item in the list should be enclosed within

  • tags. For example:

    • List item 1
    • List item 2
    • List item 3

To create an ordered list (a numbered list), replace the

      tags with

. The rest of the syntax remains the same.

        Step 7: Send Your Message

Once you have finished composing your message with all the necessary formatting elements, you can now send it to your text group. Tap on the arrow icon located on the right side of the text field to send your message.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a text group on your iPhone and sent a formatted message using HTML styling elements like bold text, underlined text, and lists.

Now you can stay connected with your group of friends or colleagues and enjoy the convenience of sending messages to multiple people all at once!
