iPhone, Tutorials

In this tutorial, we will learn how to copy and paste a picture onto another picture on iPhone. This can be a useful technique for creating collages, adding stickers or logos to images, or simply combining two pictures together. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Select and Copy the Picture

To begin, open the photo you want to copy from your Photos app. Tap on the Share icon (usually depicted as a square with an arrow pointing upward) located at the bottom of the screen.

From the sharing options that appear, select “Copy Photo”. This will copy the selected picture to your iPhone’s clipboard.

Step 2: Paste the Picture onto Another Picture

Next, open the photo onto which you want to paste the copied picture. Again, tap on the Share icon at the bottom of your screen.

This time, scroll down in the sharing options until you find “Markup” and tap on it. Markup is a built-in tool that allows you to edit and annotate images.

Substep 1: Accessing Markup Tools

Once in Markup mode, tap on the “+” sign located at the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a menu with different tools.

  • Select “Insert Photo” from this menu.
  • A pop-up window will appear showing your recent photos.

Tap on “Photo Library” if you want to choose a photo from your gallery or choose “Browse” if you want to access other albums or folders.

  • Select the picture you previously copied by tapping on it. It will now be inserted into your current image as a new layer.

Substep 2: Adjusting and Placing the Picture

Your copied picture will now appear as a separate layer on top of your current image. You can tap and hold the copied picture to drag it around and position it wherever you want.

Use two fingers to pinch and zoom the copied picture if you need to resize it. You can also rotate the copied picture by placing two fingers on it and twisting them in a circular motion.

Step 3: Save and Share Your Edited Image

Once you are satisfied with the placement and adjustments of your copied picture, tap on “Done” located at the top right corner of your screen.

After tapping “Done”, you will be taken back to the Markup screen. Tap on “Save to Photos” at the bottom left corner to save your edited image.

You can now share your edited image by tapping on the Share icon again and selecting your desired sharing method (e.g., Messages, Mail, social media, etc.).

Conclusion

Congratulations! You have successfully learned how to copy and paste a picture onto another picture using Markup on iPhone.

This technique can open up a world of creative possibilities for editing your photos. Have fun experimenting with different combinations and enjoy creating unique images!
