Are you looking to conference call on your Android device? Conference calls are a great way to connect with multiple people at once, whether it’s for business or personal reasons. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to conference call on Android, so you can stay connected with your team or loved ones.

Step 1: Open the Phone App

To initiate a conference call, start by opening the Phone app on your Android device. You can usually find this app on your home screen or in the app drawer.

Step 2: Dial the First Participant

Once you have opened the Phone app, dial the number of the first participant you want to include in the conference call. You can either type in their phone number manually or choose from your contacts list by tapping on the Contacts icon.

Note:

If you are dialing an international number, make sure to include the appropriate country code before dialing the phone number.

Step 3: Place the First Call

After entering or selecting the phone number of the first participant, tap on the Call button to place your first call. Wait for them to answer.

Step 4: Add Participants to Conference Call

Once you are connected with the first participant, it’s time to add more people to your conference call. To do this:

  • Tap on ‘Add Call’: On most Android devices, you will find an ‘Add Call’ button represented by a ‘+’ icon. Tap on it to put your current call on hold and go back to the Phone app interface.
  • Dial or Select Another Participant: Dial the phone number of the next participant you want to include in the conference call, or choose from your contacts.

Once again, wait for them to answer.

  • Tap on ‘Merge’ or ‘Merge Calls’: When the second participant is connected, you will see an option to merge the calls. Tap on ‘Merge’ or ‘Merge Calls’ to bring all participants together in one conference call.

Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for Additional Participants

You can repeat Step 4 as many times as you need to add more participants to your conference call. Each time you tap on ‘Add Call’, dial/select a new participant, and tap on ‘Merge’ or ‘Merge Calls’ to add them to the ongoing conference call.

Step 6: Manage Your Conference Call

During your conference call, you can easily manage the participants using various options provided by your Android device’s Phone app. These options may include:

  • Muting Participants: You can mute/unmute individual participants if needed. Look for a microphone icon during the call and tap on it accordingly.
  • Ending Individual Calls: If you want to end a specific participant’s call without disconnecting others, locate the respective phone number/name and tap on ‘End Call’ next to it.
  • Add New Participants: If someone joins late or you forgot to include them initially, follow Step 4 again to add them into the ongoing conference call.
