Closing multiple tabs on iPhone can be a tedious task if you don’t know the right technique. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process step-by-step. So, let’s get started!

Step 1: Open Safari
To begin, unlock your iPhone and locate the Safari browser app on your home screen. Tap on it to open the browser.

Step 2: Access Tab View
Once you have Safari open, look for the square icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. This icon represents the “Tab View” feature. Tap on it to access all your open tabs.

Note: If you can’t find this icon, make sure your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.

Step 3: Enable Close All Tabs
In Tab View, you will see all your open tabs stacked vertically. To close multiple tabs at once, tap and hold on the “Done” button located at the bottom right corner of the screen.

  • This method is available in iOS 13 and above.
  • If you are using an older version of iOS, refer to Step 4 for an alternative method.

Step 4: Close Tabs Individually (Alternative Method)
If you are using an older version of iOS or prefer closing tabs individually, follow these steps:

  • Tapping on each individual “X” button.
  • Swipe left on each tab and tap on “Close”.

  • If you have too many tabs open to close them individually, consider using Step 3 instead.
  • To prevent clutter, it’s a good practice to close unnecessary tabs regularly.
  • You can also use the “Private Browsing” mode to browse without saving any tabs.

Now that you know how to close multiple tabs on your iPhone, you can efficiently manage your browsing experience. Whether you prefer closing tabs individually or using the convenient “Close All Tabs” feature, you have the tools to keep your Safari browser organized. Stay clutter-free and enjoy seamless browsing on your iPhone!
