How to Clear Icloud Storage on iPhone

Are you running out of iCloud storage on your iPhone? Don’t worry, clearing up space in your iCloud storage is easier than you think. In this tutorial, we will guide you step by step on how to clear iCloud storage on your iPhone.

Step 1: Check Your iCloud Storage

Before we begin, let’s check how much storage space is available in your iCloud account. To do this:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on your name at the top of the screen.
  3. Select “iCloud”.
  4. Tap “Manage Storage”.

Your current available storage will be displayed at the top of the screen. If it is almost full or completely full, it’s time to clear some space.

Step 2: Clearing Photos and Videos

If you have a lot of photos and videos stored in your iCloud, they can consume a significant amount of storage. You can free up space by:

  • Deleting Unwanted Photos and Videos: Open the Photos app, select the unwanted items, and tap the trash icon.
  • Enabling Optimize Storage: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Photos and turn on “Optimize iPhone Storage”. This setting will keep smaller versions of photos on your device while storing the full-resolution versions in iCloud.

Step 3: Manage App Data

  1. Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
  2. Select any email with attachments.

        Note: The most recent backup for each device is at the top of the list.

      To delete a backup from your iPhone:

      • Select the backup you want to remove.
      • Tap “Delete Backup” and confirm your action.
