In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process step-by-step. So grab your iPhone and let’s get started!

Checking Steps on iPhone

Step 1: First, unlock your iPhone by pressing the home button or using Face ID or Touch ID.

Step 2: Once you’re on the home screen, locate and tap on the “Health” app. This app is pre-installed on all iPhones and has a white icon with a pink heart shape.

Step 3: After opening the Health app, you’ll be taken to the “Summary” tab by default. Here, you can see an overview of your health data.

However, to check your steps specifically, we need to navigate to a different section.

Step 4: At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find several tabs – “Summary,” “Browse,” “Favorites,” “Search,” and “Profile.” Tap on the “Browse” tab (represented by a magnifying glass icon) located in the bottom-right corner.

Step 5: In the “Browse” tab, you will see various categories such as Activity, Mindfulness, Nutrition, and more. Scroll down until you find the “Activity” category and tap on it.

Step 6: Now that you’re in the Activity section, tap on “Steps” under the “Trends” subheader. This will take you to a detailed page displaying your step count for today as well as historical data for previous days.

Note: If you want to view your steps for a specific day, scroll down and tap on “Show All Data.” From there, you can select the desired date to check your step count.

Step 7: Congratulations! You have successfully checked your steps on your iPhone.

You can view the total step count for today, as well as a breakdown of steps taken throughout the day.

  • If you want quick access to your step count, consider adding the “Steps” widget to your iPhone’s home screen. To do this, swipe right from the home screen, scroll down to the bottom and tap “Edit,” then look for “Steps” under the “More Widgets” section and tap on the green “+” button next to it.
  • You can also set goals for yourself in the Health app by tapping on “Summary” and scrolling down to find “Set Up Activity.” This way, you can track your progress and stay motivated!

Now that you know how to check your steps on an iPhone, you can easily monitor your physical activity and stay on top of your fitness goals. Enjoy staying active and let technology work its magic!
