Changing the name of your iPhone Bluetooth device is a simple process that can be done directly from your iPhone settings. Whether you want to personalize it or make it easier to identify, follow these steps to change the name on your iPhone Bluetooth:

Step 1: Open Settings

Unlock your iPhone and locate the Settings app. It’s usually represented by a gear icon and can be found on your home screen or in the app drawer.

Step 2: Access Bluetooth Settings

Once you’re in the Settings app, scroll down until you find Bluetooth. Tap on it to access the Bluetooth settings.

Step 3: Locate Your Device

In the Bluetooth settings, you’ll see a list of all available devices. Locate your device from the list and tap on it. This will open up the device details page.

Step 4: Change Device Name

In the device details page, you’ll find various options related to your Bluetooth device. Look for Name, which represents the current name of your device. Tap on it to edit.

  • Select All: If you want to change the entire current name, tap and hold inside the text field, then choose Select All.
  • Delete: Once selected, hit backspace or delete on your keyboard to remove the current name.
  • New Name: Type in a new name for your Bluetooth device using your keyboard. You can use up to 32 characters including letters, numbers, spaces, and special characters.
  • Save: After entering the new name, tap on Save or Done, usually located in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 5: Verify the Change

Once you’ve saved the new name, navigate back to the Bluetooth settings page. You should see your device listed with the updated name.

Congratulations! You have successfully changed the name of your iPhone Bluetooth device. Now it will be easier for you to identify and connect to your device.

Note that changing the name of your Bluetooth device on your iPhone does not affect its functionality or pairing with other devices. It only changes how it appears on your iPhone’s Bluetooth settings.

  • If you’re unable to find the option to change the name, make sure that your Bluetooth device is connected and in range of your iPhone.
  • If you encounter any issues after changing the name, try restarting both your iPhone and Bluetooth device, and then reconnect them.
  • In some cases, certain Bluetooth devices may not allow you to change their names. Refer to their user manual or contact the manufacturer for further assistance.

That’s it! Now you have a customized name for your iPhone Bluetooth device. Enjoy a more personalized experience when connecting and using your devices!
