How to Change Location on Android

Are you tired of seeing the same location on your Android device? Do you want to trick your friends or simply explore different parts of the world right from your smartphone?

Well, you’re in luck! In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of changing your location on Android. So, let’s dive in and discover how to do it!

Step 1: Enable Developer Options

If you haven’t already enabled Developer Options on your Android device, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Scroll down and tap on About Phone.
  • Find Build Number and tap it seven times.
  • You should now see a message saying “You are now a developer!”

Step 2: Access Developer Options

Now that you have enabled Developer Options, let’s access them:

  • Go back to the main Settings page.
  • Scroll down and tap on System or Additional Settings (depending on your device).
  • You should find Developer Options at the bottom of the list.

Step 3: Set Mock Location App

To change your location, we need to set a mock location app:

  • In Developer Options, scroll down to find “Select mock location app”.
  • Tap on it and choose a suitable app from the list (e.g., Fake GPS).

Step 4: Enable Mock Location

With the mock location app set, let’s enable it:

  • In Developer Options, scroll down and find “Allow mock locations”.
  • Toggle the switch to enable it.

Step 5: Configure the Mock Location App

Now that everything is set up, let’s configure the mock location app:

  • Open the mock location app you selected earlier.
  • Grant any necessary permissions.
  • You should see a map interface with a search bar.
  • Type in the desired location or use the map to navigate to it.

Note:

If your selected app doesn’t have built-in search functionality, you can also use other apps like Google Maps to find the coordinates of your desired location and enter them manually into the mock location app.

Step 6: Apply the New Location

Once you have configured your desired location in the mock location app, it’s time to apply it:

  • In Developer Options, scroll down and find “Select mock location app”.
  • Select your mock location app again (e.

If you don’t see immediate changes in your device’s location, try restarting it or opening a mapping application to trigger the update.

Congratulations! You have successfully changed your Android device’s location.
