Follow the steps below to make the necessary changes.

Step 1: Open Google Maps

To get started, locate and tap on the Google Maps app icon on your iPhone’s home screen. The app icon resembles a red location pin on a white background.

Step 2: Access the Menu

Once you have opened Google Maps, you will see a search bar at the top of the screen. Tap on this search bar to access the menu options.

Note:

If you are already signed in to your Google account, skip ahead to step 4. Otherwise, follow step 3 to sign in before proceeding.

Step 3: Sign In (Optional)

If you are not already signed in to your Google account, you will need to do so in order to make changes to your home address. Tap on the “Sign In” button at the bottom of the menu and enter your login credentials when prompted.

Step 4: Open Settings

Once signed in, tap on the menu button located at the top left corner of the screen. The menu button is represented by three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other.

Step 5: Choose “Settings”

From the menu that appears, scroll down until you find “Settings” and tap on it. This will open up a new page with various options for customizing Google Maps.

Note:

If you have multiple accounts associated with the Google Maps app, make sure you select the correct account before proceeding.

Step 6: Tap on “Edit Home or Work”

On the Settings page, locate the “Edit Home or Work” option and tap on it. This will allow you to modify your home address.

Step 7: Update Your Home Address

You will now see a page with your current home address displayed. To change your address, tap on the text field containing your address.

Note:

If you have already added a home address, you will see it listed here. Otherwise, you will see an option to add a home address.

Step 8: Enter Your New Address

After tapping on the text field, a keyboard will appear at the bottom of the screen. Use this keyboard to enter your new home address.

Note:

If you are entering a new address that is not recognized by Google Maps, make sure to provide as much accurate information as possible (e.g., street name, city, state/province, and zip/postal code).

Step 9: Save Your Changes

Once you have entered your new home address, tap on the “Save” button located at the top right corner of the screen. This will save your changes and update your home address in Google Maps.

Note:

It may take some time for Google Maps to process and reflect your updated home address across all devices associated with your account.

Congratulations!

You have successfully changed your home address in Google Maps on your iPhone. You can now navigate to and from your new location with ease using Google Maps’ reliable directions and real-time traffic updates.
