Are you constantly on the go and need a way to ensure that you never miss an important call? With the call forwarding feature on your iPhone, you can redirect incoming calls to another number of your choice. Whether you’re busy with work or simply want to have your calls forwarded to another device, this tutorial will guide you through the process of setting up call forwarding on your iPhone.

Step 1: Open the Phone App

To begin, locate and open the Phone app on your iPhone’s home screen. The Phone app is recognizable by its green icon with a white telephone receiver.

Step 2: Access Call Forwarding Settings

Once you have opened the Phone app, tap on the “Keypad” tab located at the bottom of the screen. Then, enter “*#21#” into the keypad and press the green “Call” button. This code will allow you to access the call forwarding settings on your iPhone.

Step 3: Enable Call Forwarding

After dialing “*#21#”, a new menu will appear displaying various call forwarding options. To enable call forwarding, tap on the “Call Forwarding” option. You will then be prompted to enter a phone number where you want your calls forwarded to.

Note: Make sure to include both country and area codes if necessary.

Option A: Enter a Specific Number

If you want all of your incoming calls to be forwarded to a specific number, simply enter that number using your iPhone’s keypad and tap “Enable”. Your calls will now be redirected to this designated number until you disable call forwarding.

Option B: Use Voicemail as an Alternative

If you prefer to have unanswered calls forwarded to your voicemail, tap on the “Voicemail” option. This will ensure that any calls you miss are recorded as voicemail messages rather than being redirected to another number.

Step 4: Verify Call Forwarding Status

To confirm that call forwarding has been successfully enabled on your iPhone, return to the main Phone app screen and look for a small phone icon with an arrow pointing away from it in the status bar at the top of your device’s screen. This icon indicates that call forwarding is activated.

Step 5: Disable Call Forwarding

If you ever want to disable call forwarding on your iPhone, simply open the Phone app, enter “*#21#”, and press the green “Call” button once again. From there, tap on the “Call Forwarding” option and select “Disable”. Your calls will no longer be forwarded to another number.

Tip: If you frequently toggle call forwarding on and off, you can create a shortcut for this feature by going to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls. This will allow you to quickly enable or disable call forwarding from the Control Center on your iPhone.

Now that you know how to set up and manage call forwarding on your iPhone, you can ensure that important calls never go unanswered. Whether you’re busy with work or simply need some time away from your device, call forwarding provides a convenient solution for staying connected.
