Do you find yourself frequently visiting certain websites on your Chrome browser for Android? Bookmarking those websites can save you time and effort in the long run. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to bookmark in Chrome Android, allowing you to easily access your favorite sites with just a few taps.

Step 1: Launch the Chrome App

If you haven’t already, open the Chrome app on your Android device. You can usually find it on your home screen or in the app drawer.

Step 2: Navigate to the Website You Want to Bookmark

Once you have launched the Chrome app, use the address bar at the top of the screen to enter the URL of the website you want to bookmark. Alternatively, you can also search for the website using a search engine like Google.

Step 3: Access the Chrome Menu

When you are on the desired webpage, tap on the three-dot menu icon located at the top right corner of your screen. This will open a dropdown menu with various options.

Step 4: Select “Add to Home Screen”

In the dropdown menu, locate and tap on “Add to Home Screen”. A prompt will appear asking you to confirm and customize your bookmark.

Note:

If you want to add a bookmark without adding it to your home screen, select “Bookmark” instead of “Add to Home Screen”. The process for both options is similar up until this step.

Step 5: Customize Your Bookmark (Optional)

A new window will appear where you can customize the name of your bookmark. By default, it will display the title of the webpage. You can edit this field according to your preference.

Pro Tip: Make sure to choose a name that is descriptive and easy to remember, as it will help you quickly identify the bookmark later on.

Step 6: Confirm and Save

After customizing the name, tap on the “Add” or “Save” button, depending on your device. Your bookmark will now be saved to your home screen or bookmarks menu, depending on the option you chose.

Accessing Your Bookmarks

To access your bookmarks, open the Chrome app and tap on the three-dot menu icon at the top right corner of the screen. From the dropdown menu, select “Bookmarks”. You will see a list of all your saved bookmarks organized in folders.

Note:

If you added a bookmark to your home screen, you can simply tap on its icon to directly open that website in Chrome.

Removing Bookmarks

If you ever want to remove a bookmark, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your bookmarks using the steps mentioned above.
  2. Long-press on the bookmark you want to delete. A context menu will appear.
  3. Select “Remove” or “Delete” from the context menu.

Note: Removing a bookmark from your home screen does not delete it from your bookmarks list. It only removes the shortcut from your home screen.

Congratulations! You have successfully learned how to bookmark in Chrome Android.

By organizing and accessing your favorite websites easily, you can enhance your browsing experience and save valuable time. Enjoy exploring!
