Block Phone Numbers on iPhone:

If you want to block a specific phone number on your iPhone, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Settings

To begin, unlock your iPhone and locate the Settings app. It’s a gray icon that looks like gears.

Step 2: Tap on Phone

In the Settings menu, scroll down until you find the Phone option. Tap on it to proceed.

Step 3: Select Blocked Contacts

Step 4: Add New Blocked Contact

To add a new blocked contact, tap on the Add New.. option.

Step 5: Choose Contact

You will now see a list of contacts available on your device. Scroll through or use the search bar to find and select the contact you want to block.

Step 6: Block Contact

After selecting the contact, tap on Block this Caller. A confirmation pop-up will appear with options to either block or cancel. Tap “Block Contact”.

Unblock Phone Numbers on iPhone:

If you ever want to unblock a phone number, simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Settings

Unlock your iPhone and locate the Settings app. Tap on it to open.

Step 2: Tap on Phone

In the Settings menu, find and tap on the Phone option.

Step 3: Select Blocked Contacts

In the Phone settings, look for the Blocked Contacts option under the Calls section.

Step 4: Unblock Contact

You will now see a list of blocked contacts. Find the contact you want to unblock and swipe left on their name.

A red “Unblock” button will appear. Tap on it to unblock the contact.

You have successfully unblocked a phone number on your iPhone. You can now receive calls and messages from that contact once again.

Note:

  • You can also block unknown callers by enabling the “Silence Unknown Callers” option in the Phone settings. This feature automatically sends calls from unknown numbers to voicemail.
  • If you block a contact, they won’t receive any notification about being blocked. However, they may realize they’ve been blocked if their calls go straight to voicemail or their messages aren’t delivered.
  • To manage your blocked contacts list easily, consider using third-party call-blocking apps available on the App Store.
