How to Block Your Number on iPhone

Have you ever wanted to make a call without revealing your phone number? With an iPhone, you can easily block your number and keep your identity private. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process step by step.

Method 1: Blocking Caller ID for a Single Call

If you only want to block your number for a specific call, follow these simple steps:

  1. Dial the recipient’s phone number: Open the Phone app and enter the phone number using the keypad.
  2. Add prefix: Before dialing, type *67. For example, if the number is 123-456-7890, it should be entered as *67-123-456-7890.
  3. Make the call: Tap the green call button to place your call. Your phone number will be blocked for this specific call.

Method 2: Blocking Caller ID for All Calls

If you prefer to always block your caller ID for all outgoing calls, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings: Locate and tap on the Settings app on your iPhone’s home screen.
  2. Select Phone settings: In the Settings menu, scroll down and choose “Phone”.
  3. Select Show My Caller ID: Look for “Show My Caller ID” in the Phone settings menu and tap on it.
  4. Toggle off Show My Caller ID: A toggle switch will appear next to “Show My Caller ID”. Tap on it to turn off the feature. The switch will become grayed out.
  5. Exit Settings: Press the home button or swipe up from the bottom of the screen to exit the Settings app.

With this setting enabled, your phone number will be blocked for all outgoing calls. Remember that some carriers may charge an additional fee for this service.

Method 3: Unblock Caller ID

If you want to unblock your caller ID after blocking it, follow these instructions:

  1. Open Settings: Locate and tap on the Settings app on your iPhone’s home screen.
  2. Toggle on Show My Caller ID: Tap on the toggle switch next to “Show My Caller ID” to enable it. The switch will turn green.

Your caller ID will now be displayed when making calls from your iPhone.

If you are using a carrier that doesn’t support blocking caller ID, these methods may not work. Additionally, it’s important to respect privacy and only use these methods responsibly and legally.

By following these simple steps, you can easily block or unblock your phone number on an iPhone. Whether you want to keep your identity private or simply enjoy a temporary level of anonymity, these methods have got you covered. Stay connected while maintaining control over your caller ID!
