Are you tired of receiving endless group text messages on your Android device? If so, you’re in luck!

In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the steps of blocking group texts on your Android phone. So, let’s get started!

Step 1: Open the Messaging App

To begin, open the messaging app on your Android device. This is usually represented by an icon with a speech bubble. Once opened, you should see all your conversations displayed.

Step 2: Select the Group Text Conversation

Scroll through your conversations and find the group text conversation that you want to block. Tap on it to open the conversation.

Step 3: Access Group Message Settings

Next, tap on the three dots or ellipsis located at the top-right corner of the screen. This will open a menu with various options.

  • Note: The location of these three dots may vary depending on the messaging app you are using.

Step 4: Block Group Text

In the menu that appears, look for an option related to blocking or muting notifications for this group text conversation. It may be labeled as “Block” or “Mute.” Tap on this option to proceed.

Troubleshooting Tip:

If you don’t see any options to block or mute, it’s possible that your messaging app does not have this feature. In that case, you can try using a different messaging app from the Google Play Store that offers more advanced settings and features.

Step 5: Confirm Blocking

You will now be presented with a confirmation dialog asking if you want to block or mute the group text. Confirm your decision by selecting the appropriate option.

Step 6: Repeat if Necessary

If you have multiple group text conversations that you want to block, simply repeat the previous steps for each conversation individually.

Congratulations! You have successfully blocked group texts on your Android device.

You will no longer receive notifications or messages from the blocked group texts. Keep in mind that this only blocks notifications and messages from specific group texts and not individual contacts within those groups.

Remember, if you ever change your mind and want to unblock a group text, you can follow the same steps but select the option to unblock or unmute instead. Enjoy a clutter-free messaging experience!
