Adding a Folder on iPhone
Are you tired of having a cluttered home screen on your iPhone? Organizing your apps into folders is a great way to keep things tidy and easily accessible. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to add a folder on your iPhone using a simple step-by-step process.
Step 1: Unlock Your iPhone
Before we begin, make sure to unlock your iPhone by pressing the Home button or using Face ID or Touch ID.
Step 2: Locate the Apps You Want to Add to a Folder
Next, find the apps that you want to add to a folder. You can do this by swiping left or right on your home screen or by using the Search feature.
Step 3: Enter “Jiggle Mode”
To create a folder, you need to enter what is known as “Jiggle Mode”. This mode allows you to move and organize your apps. To enter Jiggle Mode, simply press and hold any app icon on your home screen until all the app icons start shaking.
Step 4: Drag and Drop an App Onto Another App
Now that you’re in Jiggle Mode, drag one app icon that you want to add to a folder onto another app icon. This action will create a new folder containing both apps.
If it’s your first time creating a folder, iOS will automatically suggest a name for the folder based on the category of the apps you’ve selected. However, you can customize this name later if needed.
Step 5: Customize Your Folder
By default, iOS will assign a name to the folder based on the apps you’ve added. To change the folder name, tap on the folder to open it and then tap on the name field at the top of the screen. You can now enter a new name using your iPhone’s virtual keyboard.
If you want to add more apps to your newly created folder, simply drag and drop them onto the folder icon while still in Jiggle Mode.
Step 6: Exit Jiggle Mode
To exit Jiggle Mode and save your changes, press the Home button or swipe up from the bottom (on devices without a Home button) to return to your normal home screen view.
Congratulations! You have successfully added a folder on your iPhone. Now you can organize your apps into folders and enjoy a clutter-free home screen.
Remember, adding folders is not only a great way to keep things organized but also allows for quicker access to your favorite apps. So go ahead, give it a try!
